Rosatom Installs Robotic Tube-Processing System at a Plant in Elektrostal
The automated system is equipped with local control units and position sensors.

Atomintelemash, a subsidiary of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has delivered a robotic tube-processing system to the Mashinostroitelny Zavod plant in the city of Elektrostal. The system can perform sequential cutting, facing, and marking of tubes in either full or partial processing cycles and can handle tubes of different types and sizes. Rosatom’s press service told IT Russia.
The equipment is fitted with local control systems and position sensors. This makes it possible to monitor every stage of processing, track the position and movement of both the workpieces and the actuators. Deploying the automated system is expected to take labor productivity to a new level.
Responding to Industry Demand
Atomintelemash acts as Rosatom’s industry integrator for robotics. The company specializes in developing bespoke solutions designed to operate in complex and demanding environments.
Earlier, IT Russia reported that scientists from Perm National Research Polytechnic University had developed a pipeline design technology for hydrogen applications. The method allows engineers to accurately calculate destructive vibrations inside pipes and could make Russia’s hydrogen infrastructure more reliable.
