Russian Airport Upgrades Air Traffic Control Communications With Aircraft
Reliable links between controllers, flight crews, and ground services are expected to boost safety and airport capacity.

Azimut, a subsidiary of state-owned Rostec, has equipped Sochi International Airport with its latest voice communication, recording, and playback systems, VCS 2700 and CDR 2700.
The systems are designed for high fault tolerance, flexibility, and scalability, allowing them to be deployed both at smaller airports and at large regional hubs.
The airport will also run 24/7 recording of operational communications and surveillance camera data. Information captured in audio, video, and text formats can be replayed synchronously.
Meeting Operational Targets
According to Alexey Galchenkov, Azimut helps airports and airlines achieve goals such as increasing airspace capacity, improving flight safety, reducing aircraft ground time, and cutting fuel consumption.
