Russians Can Now Discuss Medical Checkup Results With Doctors Online
Telemedicine is making healthcare more accessible and more convenient.

Over the past year, more than 830,000 patients in the Moscow region have received online consultations following routine medical checkups, without visiting clinics in person. Telemedicine has made healthcare services more accessible and easier to use, the regional health ministry said.
After completing preventive examinations, residents can remotely discuss all test results and medical conclusions with a doctor. The specialist provides detailed explanations and recommendations and, if necessary, adjusts treatment plans or refers patients for additional diagnostics. This significantly saves patients’ time and simplifies their interaction with the healthcare system.
Online consultations are especially helpful for residents of remote areas, people with disabilities, as well as pregnant women and children.
Without Leaving Home
The rollout of such initiatives in the Moscow region is serving as a benchmark for other regions across Russia.
Earlier, we reported that Russian scientists had developed a unique medical device capable of assessing a key brain protection mechanism in real time — the ability to maintain stable blood flow during pressure fluctuations. The technology could change approaches to treating critical conditions in neurology and intensive care.
