Smart City Centers Open Across Russian Regions
“Smart City” situational center launches in Nizhnekamsk

A Smart City situational center has opened in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, according to the regional Ministry of Digital Development. The city of 240,000 residents now has a centralized hub for managing security and urban infrastructure. The center aggregates data from cameras, intercom systems, and the platform Tsifrovoy Nizhnekamsk (Digital Nizhnekamsk) – a unified online system that brings together more than 80 key urban indicators, interactive maps, and real-time monitoring tools.
A City in Your Phone
The situational center provides a real-time view of developments across social services, healthcare, the economy, education, culture, and public transport. A bot within Tsifrovoy Nizhnekamsk delivers daily updates on key metrics to city officials.
Tatarstan’s Minister of Digital Development, Ilya Nachvin, said the center will help ensure public safety and support more effective decision-making.
A mobile app, Moy Nizhnekamsk (My Nizhnekamsk), has also been developed for residents. It will bring together all city digital services, allowing users to contact municipal authorities, plan tourist routes, and even earn virtual points for attending cultural events and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
