Russia is considering shifting regulatory oversight onto a digital platform. The proposal was put forward by Alexander Shokhin, head of the Rossiyskiy Soyuz Promyshlennikov i Predprinimateley (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs). He said an interactive service could inform businesses about all forms of state oversight and the mandatory requirements that apply to specific sectors. The same platform could also list required permits and the frequency of inspections.

Remote Inspections

Modern artificial intelligence technologies could help run such a system in a proactive format. AI would be able to generate personalized lists of compliance requirements and inspections, as well as analyze risk levels.

According to Shokhin, as cited by TASS, the Russian government aims to expand the use of remote oversight tools. Authorities are deploying automated systems, video surveillance, and even unmanned technologies. Over time, all scheduled inspections are expected to shift to remote formats.
