In April 2026, St. Petersburg plans to launch the Velosipedista Cabinet (Cyclist’s Cabinet), a new digital service for cyclists. The platform will be integrated into the Parkovki Peterburga app to bring multiple transport services together in a single digital environment.

The idea for the service emerged in 2023 as part of the Tvoy Byudzhet 2.0 initiative. The concept was proposed by activists from the St. Petersburg Cycling Community nonprofit organization and received public support.

Development of the application was completed by the end of 2024, but its launch was delayed for various reasons. The project is now entering its final stage.

Routes and Parking

The Velosipedista Cabinet will allow users to plan routes across the city, taking into account bike lanes and convenient connections. Cyclists will be able to save trips, revisit them later or compare different routes by convenience or travel time.

The service will also enable users to mark important points on the map, such as problematic sections, parking areas and convenient ramps. Based on uploaded trips, the system will generate an activity map showing which streets are used most frequently. These insights could support not only cyclists but also city planners in developing cycling infrastructure.

Achievements and Surveys

The platform will introduce digital achievements to help users track their activity, along with surveys. Through these tools, cyclists will be able to share feedback and influence municipal decisions.

With the new cycling season approaching, the city’s cycling community is likely to receive a dedicated digital service designed to make urban mobility more convenient.
