Russian company Netvision has developed an integrated intelligent video surveillance system for universities. The platform analyzes live camera feeds and automatically identifies suspicious activity across campus grounds.

The algorithms detect unauthorized individuals in dormitories, lecture halls, and laboratories with restricted access. The system also identifies unattended objects, smoke, and signs of fire. Processing takes fractions of a second, after which security personnel receive an alert.

All information is displayed on a unified dashboard. Operators see the incident, its classification by type, and its exact location on the campus map. This reduces response time and simplifies coordination among relevant services.

“In the future, we plan to expand the system’s functionality to include detection of deviant behavior, vandalism, and fights,” said Netvision CEO Roman Kazachenko.

According to him, video analytics helps maintain order both inside university buildings and in surrounding areas. Cameras operate in conjunction with AI models trained to recognize typical violation scenarios.

Netvision develops and manufactures intelligent video surveillance products. The platform is included in Russia’s Unified Register of Domestic Software and is used to build security systems at public and commercial facilities.
