Demand for AI-Skilled Professionals in Russia Surges by 60 Percent
Job listings requiring artificial intelligence expertise skyrocketed in summer 2025, with finance, marketing, and tech firms leading the charge.

In Russia, demand for specialists capable of working with AI has jumped 66 percent year-over-year, according to a study by job platform Avito Rabota. Between June and August 2025, employers most often sought professionals with neural network skills in the financial sector. Marketing, advertising, and PR ranked second, followed by technology companies.
Sales managers were the roles most frequently requiring AI skills. These employees use neural networks to automate routine tasks such as filling out CRM systems, chatting with clients, preparing documents, and drafting commercial proposals. By summer 2025, salary expectations for such positions had reached about 102,791 rubles ($1,275) per month.
Also high on the list were marketing specialists and IT professionals. Marketers apply AI to data analysis, content creation, and ad personalization, while developers delegate complex calculations, big data analytics, and language model training to neural networks.
Experts note that AI literacy is shifting from a niche skill to a baseline competitive advantage. Employers value specialists who can automate routine workflows, speed up operations, and improve output quality. That, in turn, frees up time for solving strategic challenges—directly boosting business performance in the digital economy. Mastery of AI is fast becoming a new standard for professionals across industries.
