In Russia, You Can Now Check Your Health at an ATM

A new ATM introduced by Sber uses AI-powered diagnostics to assess ten key health indicators in just 30 seconds, offering Russians a fast and accessible tool for monitoring their well-being.

Fast Health Screening at the ATM

At the international AI Journey conference, Sber unveiled a new ATM equipped with an express health‑assessment service.

“In only 30 seconds, the device provides a free health check for any customer over 18 — a service available only at Sber. The user merely needs to look into the camera to receive an evaluation across ten indicators: heart rate, blood pressure, stress level, fatigue, body mass index, projected cholesterol level, average blood glucose, future risk of glucose‑metabolism disorders, arterial stiffness, and heart‑rate variability. It is important to remember that the device does not replace a doctor, and results must be confirmed in laboratory settings,” said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of Sberbank’s Executive Board.

The ATM displays explanations for each indicator, while a more detailed report is sent directly to the SberHealth app.

20 Health Metrics in 15 Seconds

The conference also featured an updated version of the GigaDoc medical AI assistant. In just 15 seconds, the system analyzes a short facial video to determine twenty health indicators, detect abnormalities, and recommend consulting the appropriate medical specialist.

A digital doctor avatar simulates a realistic, human‑like interaction that strengthens patient trust. GigaDoc also offers personalized lifestyle advice and answers medical questions.

According to Sergey Zhdanov, Director of Sberbank’s Health Industry Center, the platform relies on cutting‑edge technologies including photoplethysmography, ML algorithms, the GigaChat language model, and an interactive visual interface.
