Orenburg Drilling Equipment Plant to Showcase AI-Enabled Rig at MiningWorld Russia 2026
The self-propelled drilling unit integrates AI modules to monitor performance and prevent failures.

The Orenburg Drilling Equipment Plant (ZBO) will take part in MiningWorld Russia 2026, where it plans to present its latest self-propelled drilling rig, the ZBO S15E. The system features an advanced electrohydraulic control setup with integrated artificial intelligence modules.
The built-in intelligent system continuously monitors the rig’s technical parameters using sensors and can automatically adjust operating modes to prevent failures. According to the developers, this helps protect costly equipment while optimizing drilling speed and reducing the impact of human error and operator fatigue.
The rig is mounted on a high-mobility chassis with a telescopic mast. In transport mode, it has a compact footprint, allowing it to be easily moved between sites.
MiningWorld Russia 2026 is scheduled to take place in Moscow from April 22 to April 24.
