Over 60 Airports in Russia Switch to Domestic Software
From check-in counters to baggage tracking and ticket booking, more than 60 airports across Russia—and even some abroad—have migrated to locally developed software, signaling a push for digital sovereignty in aviation.

According to the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, dozens of airlines, including foreign carriers, are now using Russian-made systems created through industrial competence centers. Among them is a centralized platform that manages check-in counters and baggage search services.
One such solution, the CUTE software suite, now powers check-in counters and boarding gates in 23 Russian airports and one international hub. Another system, called “BAGS Poisk,” helps locate lost luggage and is already connected to 14 airlines—including four foreign carriers from the CIS—and 62 airports.
Russian developers have also built software that supports ticket booking, in-flight meals, seat upgrades, and baggage services. Flagship carriers like Aeroflot, Rossiya, and Pobeda have already adopted it.
Beyond passenger services, a secure communication system has been deployed to enable airports and airlines to exchange messages without relying on external networks. This platform is now used by 63 Russian airports, six foreign hubs, and more than 50 airlines, including international ones.
