Rosatom Experts Showcase a Range of New Technologies at Technoprom-2026
The developments span nuclear energy as well as a range of other fields.
The State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom (Rosatom) has wrapped up its work at the international Technoprom-2026 forum. About 50 experts represented the country’s leading nuclear industry company, presenting its latest developments.
The corporation’s current list of priority projects includes the Iskhodnik komptonovskogo izlucheniya (Compton Radiation Source), Tokamak s reaktornymi tekhnologiyami (Tokamak With Reactor Technologies) and Mnogotselevoy issledovatelskiy reaktor na bystrykh neytronakh (Multipurpose Research Reactor on Fast Neutrons). According to the experts, bringing these projects online will help address a broad range of challenges related to clean energy, new materials and personalized medicine.
Dmitry Ivanets, Rosatom’s deputy director for technological development, spoke about the practical results of deploying new technologies. He said the use of additive manufacturing at one of the company’s facilities has reduced process times by 30%, more than 1,000 parts have been 3D-printed at the Kola Nuclear Power Plant, and switching to composite materials has cut the production cycle fourfold.
