Russia to Share Innovation Ecosystem Expertise with Egypt

A new agreement between Russian and Egyptian tech leaders will bring Skolkovo’s experience in building innovation hubs to the Middle East.

Russian expertise in developing technology parks and innovation ecosystems has drawn the interest of partners in the Middle East. At the recent Startup Village conference, a trilateral commercial agreement was signed to bring elements of Russia’s Skolkovo model to Egypt.

The agreement involves the Skolkovo Foundation and Skolkovo Technopark on the Russian side, and Egypt’s Silicon Waha. The collaboration includes consulting support and the transfer of knowledge on how to establish and grow high-tech innovation zones.

The deal opens doors for Russian tech companies to expand into new markets—not only in Egypt, but also across the Middle East, India, and China.

Russian technology and IT development strategies are increasingly in demand worldwide. Through international cooperation, partner nations are implementing innovations and shaping their economic futures.
