Russian Diesel Engine Factory Goes Fully Digital with AI-Driven Monitoring System

A factory in Russia’s Alabuga economic zone has deployed a domestic IT system to track every key metric across 160 machines in real time.

The SOLLERS diesel engine factory, located in the Alabuga special economic zone, has introduced an end-to-end smart monitoring platform developed domestically. The system uses IoT and Big Data tools built on the WINNUM IT platform to monitor production metrics in real time.

The technology acts like a 'cardio monitor' for machinery—tracking completed output, runtime, unplanned shutdowns, and part defects. The goal: precision diagnostics, fewer disruptions, and tighter quality control.

So far, 160 units of equipment have been connected to the system. AI-powered sensors stream operational data from each machine, enabling proactive diagnostics and maintenance that keep production running efficiently.

This marks another step in Russia’s broader effort to localize industrial technologies and reduce reliance on foreign-made manufacturing software and systems.
