Russian Students Build Multifunctional Drone for Transport and Logistics

A student team from Tula has developed a multifunctional drone capable of precision cargo transport — a prototype that’s already gaining national recognition and could redefine logistics in the future.

Students from Tula have created a unique multifunctional drone that has made it to the finals of the nationwide tournament 'New Height.' Their design can perform multiple tasks, including precision cargo transportation, opening new opportunities for logistics and other industries in Russia and beyond.

Developed by the student team 'Proryv_71,' the drone uses a magnetic capture system to move cargo between locations. On October 2, the working prototype successfully passed field tests and received high marks from industry experts. The final round of the competition, where the winner will be announced, is scheduled for November 6.

The drone’s ability to adapt to different scenarios highlights the practical potential of the technology. Such innovations are part of Russia’s ongoing digital transformation in transportation and logistics.

The development of versatile drones like this is increasingly relevant worldwide. Global demand for efficient, autonomous logistics solutions continues to grow, and technologies being tested by students today could form the foundation of tomorrow’s faster, cheaper, and safer delivery systems.
