Young Russians Are Embracing AI in Their Daily Lives

A new federal study finds that the majority of Russians under 35 not only use AI regularly—but see it as a helpful, even friendly, presence in their lives.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming a routine part of life for young people in Russia, according to a federal sociological study titled 'Prospects for the Development of Artificial Intelligence,' as reported by Gazeta.ru.

The study shows that 88% of Russians aged 18 to 35 actively use AI tools. Among them, 85% rely on neural networks to help with work and academic tasks. Most frequently, young users turn to AI for text generation (75%) and for gathering or analyzing information (55%).

Interestingly, 63% of respondents have a positive view of AI, describing it as a friend, conversational partner, or even a 'kind robot.' Nearly 90% see AI as a 'library of knowledge,' and 75% describe it as a 'tool that frees people from complex tasks.'
