Andres Hernandez Ortiz de Montellano: I Create Content About Real Life in Russia
Delegations from more than 100 countries are taking part in the 2nd Global Digital Forum at the Mechta venue in Gorky Park from October 8 to 10.

Moscow is hosting the 2nd Global Digital Forum, where participants are looking for ways to maintain technological independence without becoming isolated. Andres Hernandez Ortiz de Montellano, head of Latirusa (Mexico), spoke to an IT Russia correspondent about how content about everyday life, culture and technology can help create a more complete picture of Russia:
– I create content about everyday life in Russia. In Mexico, where I live, we are next to the United States, and news about Russia that comes from there is often negative. I want to show my audience that life in Russia is much more complex than it is sometimes portrayed in the U.S. media. You cannot judge a country in simply black-and-white terms.
– In my content, I talk about the lives of ordinary people, Russian culture, food and sports. My wife is from Russia, so I am particularly interested in showing different sides of life in the country. I believe that before drawing conclusions about a country and the events taking place there, you need to get to know its people and culture. That is what I try to convey through my content.
– As for Russian IT developments, we knew little about them before coming to Moscow. Here, I have seen how the city is developing, learned about development programs through 2030 and noticed Yandex Dostavka [Yandex Delivery – ed. note] robots on the streets. Artificial intelligence is also advancing in Russia, and I am interested in learning about these technologies. Taking part in the forum will help me share my impressions and new knowledge with my audience.
