Conrad Oboulhas Tsahat: We Want to Strengthen the Republic of Congo’s Cybersecurity Independence

The 2nd Global Digital Forum in Moscow brings together government officials, representatives of international organizations and IT industry professionals. During the forum, participants move from discussing shared challenges to reaching concrete agreements and signing cooperation deals.

Among the new partnerships is a memorandum of cooperation between Russia and the Republic of the Congo on cybersecurity. Conrad Oboulhas Tsahat, Director General of the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) of the Republic of the Congo, explained the purpose of the agreement:

– We signed this memorandum to advance the mutual interests of Russia and the Republic of the Congo in cybersecurity.

One of the projects involves launching a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor and respond to information security incidents. It will help process information and strengthen the country’s independence in cybersecurity.

As we have already discussed with our Russian partners, we expect them to visit the Republic of the Congo in early December. They will begin by assessing the existing infrastructure and evaluating the proposed project.
