Cyber Series to Spotlight Russian AI Developments
A team of filmmakers has compiled a documentary series on how artificial intelligence is reshaping science, education, medicine and space across Russia.
A documentary science series about artificial intelligence is set to be released in Russia, project author and Social Cinema Foundation director Mikhail Komlev told TASS.
The series, titled “AI of the Future,” was filmed at scientific and technological centers in Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Kazan, Innopolis and other cities. It will explore the development of AI technologies in Russia and their impact on fields such as science, education, medicine and space. The project consists of four episodes.
Creative AI
The creators will present unique insights, including details about the uncrewed launch of the Buran spacecraft, which operated with early robotic systems. The series also highlights applications in medicine, transport and even the conservation of Amur tigers. More than 100 scientists, experts and innovators took part in the project. The premiere is scheduled for May 2026. The series was produced with a grant from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
AI is also increasingly entering the creative industries in Russia. In March, a Yakut film studio released a film in which a neural network generated and voiced animal characters. The film premiered nationwide.
