DSTU Students Practice Cyber Incident Response on Ampire Platform
Softline Group conducted hands-on cyber exercises for fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-year students at Don State Technical University (DSTU) using the Russian Ampire cyber training platform.

The future information security specialists worked in four teams to practice detecting and resolving cyber incidents. Participants took on the roles of CERT/CSIRT response teams. The platform can simulate real-world attack scenarios, create digital twins of IT infrastructure, and develop monitoring and investigation skills. The exercises help bridge the gap between theory and practice in information security training.
The students had an opportunity to test their knowledge, understand how modern security tools work, and receive feedback from leading industry experts. The organizers noted that the format provides a way to assess future specialists’ level of preparedness against industry and regulatory requirements. The Ampire platform was developed by Perspektivny Monitoring (Perspective Monitoring) and includes scenarios of varying complexity.
