Rostelecom Secures Communications Channels for Kabardino-Balkaria’s Fire Service
Specialists deployed a network of encryption devices and connected them to a central hub.

Rostelecom has upgraded the communications channels used by the fire service in Russia’s Kabardino-Balkarian Republic to transmit alarm signals, adding a data encryption system. Company’s professionals installed a network of encryption devices and connected them to a central hub. The system protects alarm signals as they travel from fire stations to audible alert devices, helping ensure secure and reliable emergency notification.
To support the new system, Rostelecom installed additional computing capacity. The company’s specialists deployed a virtual data center, installed and configured a network management center, and then connected the encryption devices.
