Hasan Kadhim Jabbar Abedi: Iraq Wants to Adopt Russian Security Technologies
Hundreds of foreign guests have arrived to Russia for the 2nd Global Digital Forum (GDF), which is taking place at the Mechta venue in Moscow’s Gorky Park.
They are looking for partners and discussing digital sovereignty, international cooperation and practical mechanisms for joint IT projects.
Ahead of the forum’s opening, foreign delegates visited VDNKh. After the tour, Hasan Kadhim Jabbar Abedi, security adviser to the governor of Najaf Province, Iraq, spoke to an IT Russia correspondent about what he saw and which technologies Iraq wants to adopt:
– This is our first visit to Russia, and we are here representing Iraq. Our goal is to learn about Russian technologies so that, when we return, we can share this experience with our country.
We were particularly impressed by the video surveillance systems, which help improve security, reduce crime and traffic accidents, and provide better oversight of what is happening.
We came to the Global Digital Forum to study these technologies and put them into practice in our country, rather than simply to get acquainted with Russia. We hope to continue cooperating in technology, above all for the benefit of our country.
