Ikram Zaoudi: Digital Content Education Is Especially Important for Children and Young People
The 2nd Global Digital Forum is continuing in Moscow, bringing together experts from 120 countries to find common ground and develop shared solutions to various challenges in the development and use of information technology.

Participants are paying particular attention to AI ethics, online child safety and fostering a responsible approach to internet content. Ikram Zaoudi, a representative of the Algerian Agency for Communication and Media, shared her views on these issues with the IT Russia media platform after speaking at one of the forum’s plenary sessions.
– First of all, I’d like to talk about my participation in the forum as a speaker. I spoke at a plenary session titled “Women Need Women.” We discussed a code of ethics for the age of artificial intelligence. It’s extremely important for our countries, Algeria and Russia, to strengthen cooperation in this area, particularly on ethical issues.
Projects involving children are especially important to me because this is the field I work in. In the age of neural networks, we need to teach children how to choose content on social media wisely. It’s important to keep them from being influenced by fake news. That’s why educating the younger generation about digital content is more important than ever.
When it comes to projects involving children, progress takes time. It will take at least three years because we’re talking about shaping a child’s awareness and worldview. So we shouldn’t expect quick results, but they will come.
