Jannatul Mawa Mim: Protecting Users From Digital Threats Requires Public Awareness
The 2nd Global Digital Forum, focused on digital sovereignty and international cooperation in this area, is taking place at the Mechta venue in Moscow’s Gorky Park from October 8 to 10.

Jannatul Mawa Mim, an administrative staff member at a university, spoke to an IT Russia correspondent about how Bangladesh is addressing online threats, disinformation and digital risks facing the public:
– I currently work in the university’s administrative department. I also volunteer to oversee issues related to internet security in my country. I work with the public, including people living in cities. My task is to raise awareness of various digital threats and digital tools. When it comes to threats, these include the spread of fake news and disinformation, which can cause enormous harm. I also tell people about useful IT tools that could help them in different situations.
I came to Moscow specifically to take part in the discussions, meet with other people and discuss the most pressing and serious issues related to the internet, information security and cyber threats. That is why I plan to attend all the panel discussions. I really like the program and the excellent organization, and of course, I love Russian people.
