Letjedi Thabang Mabinane: I Want to Find Partners Among IT Experts at the Global Digital Forum
A South African participant in the Second Global Digital Forum spoke about his interests in IT and his impressions of Russia.
Final preparations are underway at the Mechta complex in Gorky Park for the Second Global Digital Forum, which opens tomorrow. As part of the cultural program, guests from different countries visited Skolkovo, where a reporter from the IT Russia media platform asked them about the future of digital ecosystems.
Letjedi Thabang Mabinane of South Africa, who represents the South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA), spoke about his expectations for the event and his interest in Russian technologies:
– I attended the Global Digital Forum last year, and I also came to Russia in April. I'm here mainly to build relationships that are important to me with IT experts from around the world and find opportunities to connect professionally.
I can say that Russia is a very beautiful country, and I like it very much. The people are friendly and very welcoming. I also like the way Russia preserves and values its culture.
As for Russian digital technologies, I'm very interested in drones. I learned a lot about them during today's tour, picked up a brochure and would like to take a closer look at these technologies and visit the company's website. In any case, I'm interested in everything related to IT, and naturally, I want to learn about new products in the field.
Mabinane also said he has high expectations for the upcoming Global Digital Forum and hopes to take home many ideas and approaches that he can work to implement in South Africa.
