Patrick Rurangangabo: Russia Has Made Great Strides in Digital Technology and Is Ready to Share Its Solutions

At the 2nd Global Digital Forum in Moscow, experts are exploring ways to make technology more accessible to countries around the world.

The forum has brought together representatives from different countries to discuss how to narrow the gap in access to technology and digital infrastructure and create a level playing field for technological development. This is one of the challenges countries face as their digital economies grow. During the forum, Patrick Rurangangabo of Rwanda shared his perspective on Africa’s digital development with the IT Russia media platform:

– I am the CEO and manager of a company in Rwanda that conducts research. I came to the forum and was surprised to see how many advanced technologies Russia has. Comparing the level of technological development in Russia with that in Rwanda and Africa as a whole, I can see that Russia has moved much further ahead.

I was also impressed by digital government. I believe this is a particularly relevant topic for Rwanda, as our country is moving in the same direction. I would like to see progress in this area at home as well. I am also interested in digital services.

I am also interested in internet governance and robotics. I can see how much progress Russia has made in digital technology. Russia is ready to share its solutions with developing countries that are still lagging behind in this area. I believe there are good prospects for this kind of cooperation.
