Roger Andjalandji: The Central African Republic Needs Russia-Trained Professionals to Develop Its Digital Economy
The 2nd Global Digital Forum continued in Moscow on October 9, bringing together IT developers, scientists and government officials from 120 countries.

One of the forum’s guests was Roger Andjalandji, Minister of Digital Economy, Posts and Telecommunications of the Central African Republic. In a brief interview with the IT Russia media platform, he discussed an educational agreement with a Russian university and explained why training engineers and technical specialists has become a priority for the Central African Republic:
– This agreement is very important to us because we are now laying the foundations for a digital economy. We already have equipment and fiber-optic infrastructure, but our main challenge is a shortage of qualified specialists. Cooperation with a Russian university that also specializes in digital technologies will allow our people to get the education they need. After completing their studies, they will be able to work in our country and help develop its digital economy.
Our top priority is workforce training. Developing a digital economy requires expertise: technical staff and engineers who can work for the benefit of our country. Above all, we are interested in training specialists in telecommunications. We want them to study in Russia and then put their knowledge to use back home, in the Central African Republic.
