Sanket Gawhale: Moscow Is an Excellent Example of How to Use Digital Technology

Sanket Gawhale, a representative of India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Broadcasting, shared his impressions of Moscow and the forum with an IT Russia correspondent:

– I came from India and represent the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Broadcasting. I am also launching my own startup. That is why I am attending a forum dedicated to digital technologies.

This is my first time attending the Global Digital Forum. We are in Moscow, a city that actively embraces innovation and media technologies. Moscow is certainly an excellent example of how digital technologies can be used effectively. We know that Moscow is the heart of Russia.

Delegates have come to the forum from all kinds of countries, from the East and the West, from the Middle East and, of course, from my own country. Forums like this are an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and knowledge and to understand what our future might look like as artificial intelligence advances.

Today, I attended a lecture on research that Russia is conducting across the African continent. Ministers from several African countries took part in the session. They shared their views on digital development in their countries and discussed how digitalization can support their progress, including economic growth.

The lecture was very useful to me. I learned a great deal about countries I knew little about before. The information helped me better understand how digitalization is progressing there. After all, the world is one, and we are all inhabitants of the same planet.

I am very grateful to the Russian government for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in the forum.
