Bahram Jaleel: Russia Is Humanity’s Last Hope
IT specialists from around the world have gathered at the Mechta venue in Moscow’s Gorky Park for the 2nd Global Digital Forum.

From October 8 to 10, developers from 120 countries will showcase their achievements and look for new business partners in digital technology.
Bahram Jaleel, a senior engineer at Iraqi IT company Top IT, spoke to an IT Russia correspondent about his views on international cooperation in IT and the development of ties between Russia and Iraq:
– Russia has made a very positive impression on me. People here are kind and always ready to help. For example, in 2024, someone from St. Petersburg selflessly helped me for six hours. Actions like that say a lot about the people and the country.
I believe Russian society has maintained a strong sense of unity and a commitment to traditional values. Family remains an important part of life here, and people show a strong sense of patriotism. It seems to me that other countries do not always place the same emphasis on these aspects of social life.
Kurdistan has many IT engineers and digital development professionals. I would like to see more active cooperation between Russia and Iraq and more opportunities for our professionals to attend forums like this and learn about Russian developments. In Kurdistan, there is still limited awareness of Russia and its technologies. I learned a great deal myself during this trip, and I want to share that knowledge with my fellow citizens. It is important for professionals from both countries to exchange experience and learn more about each other’s developments.
I also attended this forum in 2025 and have been to other events in Russia. With every trip, I get to know the country better and become more convinced that Russia plays a special role in the world, both in technology development and in culture. And I believe that Russia is humanity’s last hope. Here, I see a society that, in my view, is how society should be. I do not see that in other countries. By now, I know what to expect from trips here, and I am confident that this visit will also leave a positive impression.
