Belarusian Nuclear Power Engineers Study Digital Systems at Kola Nuclear Power Plant
The delegation visited the facility to examine digital technologies used in nuclear power plant operations and maintenance.
Belarusian engineers made a series of visits to the Kola Nuclear Power Plant to study advanced practices for operating and supporting nuclear facilities. The plant was selected in large part because it has implemented some of the industry's leading digitalization practices.
Among the systems deployed at the plant is an Information System for Nuclear Power Plant Operations Support. It integrates operational processes, engineering support, equipment maintenance and repair, asset management, and documentation into a single digital environment.
"Sharing experience in engineering support for nuclear power plant operations, including asset life management and equipment aging, is one of the key elements in improving the safety and reliability of equipment and process systems. It also helps systematize knowledge and advance technologies in this field," said Pavel Kondratyev, Head of Engineering Support for Nuclear Power Plant Operations at the Kola Nuclear Power Plant.
