Jennifer Mteleke: Russian Technology Could Help Our Research in Tanzania

A Tanzanian participant in the Global Digital Forum explained how medical technologies showcased at VDNKh could support the research she is conducting in her home country.

Final preparations are underway in Gorky Park for the Second Global Digital Forum, which opens tomorrow. Ahead of the GDF, guests from different countries visited VDNKh as part of the cultural program, where reporters from the IT Russia media platform asked them about the importance of digitalization in some of the most sensitive areas of people's lives, particularly healthcare. Jennifer Mteleke of Tanzania shared her impressions and expectations:

– I was impressed by almost everything, but what I liked most was the exhibit featuring medical technologies that collect health data on parents and grandparents, allowing a doctor to trace certain conditions, including those passed down from earlier generations.

I'm a university student in Tanzania, and I'm currently planning research to collect data on how different gender-related factors, for example, affect students' mental health.

I think the technologies you have here could be very helpful in our research, and they could also help our government and healthcare institutions.

If this is only the beginning, I expect a great deal from the Global Digital Forum. In particular, I hope to meet Russian researchers working in the same field as I am, as well as perhaps some of my fellow Tanzanians and delegates from other countries, so we can exchange knowledge and move my project forward.
