That includes developing assessment algorithms to evaluate both student and instructor readiness, ensuring the AI workforce is as competent as it is scalable.

The project is drawing firepower from some of Russia’s biggest tech players—Sberbank, Yandex, and Gazprom Neft among them. Their role: to shape content that’s streamlined, practical, and directly aligned with the realities of industrial AI adoption.

With artificial intelligence touching everything from energy to finance, Russia sees education as a strategic lever for digital sovereignty. The new approach aims to eliminate the bottleneck of skilled personnel, future-proof the economy, and redefine how nations build digital leadership—starting in the classroom.
