More than 20 percent of Russian companies are already using generative artificial intelligence for various business tasks, according to estimates by experts at Yandex and Yakov i Partnery, as reported by Kommersant-Kuban-Chernomorye.

By 2028, the economic potential of artificial intelligence in Russia is projected to reach 22–36 trillion rubles ($~260–430 billion). Around 70 percent of that potential is concentrated in logistics, retail, extractive industries, consumer goods manufacturing, and IT.

## AI Technologies and Communication Platforms

Sergei Laskavy, director of MTS in the Krasnodar region and the Republic of Adygea, believes that by 2030 up to 90 percent of routine operations could be handled by AI. Neural networks are taking over repetitive functions, freeing up time for human creativity, reducing the need for large staff numbers, and improving both the accuracy of information provided to customers and the efficiency of production processes.

The expert noted that companies are actively deploying generative AI tools, including chatbots for text processing and image-generation services. Another rapidly expanding area is communication platforms that help organize and conduct video conferences and meetings. AI embedded in these services automatically records meetings, processes the information, and highlights key points.

“AI is not intelligence in the literal sense in which we refer to human intellect. It is a vast body of data processed through various algorithms to achieve specific results. Human intelligence cannot be replaced. Effective business requires balance: combining AI for routine tasks with the intellectual capabilities of individual professionals,” the outlet quoted the expert as saying.
