To protect government information systems, the government of Tatarstan has deployed the Security Vision information security automation platform.

The platform safeguards government information systems operating in the republic’s government data center, including the digital services through which residents access public services. The new infrastructure fully complies with Russian legislation governing information protection.

Cybersecurity in One Window

A centralized cybersecurity management system has been created in the republic. The Security Vision platform connects more than twenty regional ministries and agencies and allows their information security teams to coordinate their work.

“We are consistently developing our cybersecurity capabilities and place special emphasis on deploying advanced technologies that meet both industry and government standards. For us, it is important not only to respond to threats but to build a proactive automated protection system that ensures the stability and security of digital services for citizens and organizations,” said Albert Khalyapov, CEO of the Center for Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Automated Bursar

Security Vision is a multi-module platform that supports SOAR, asset management, vulnerability control and integration with the National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents. The software collects events from security monitoring systems, analyzes them and automatically launches response scenarios. Incidents are processed very quickly, and some operations are performed automatically without the involvement of specialists.

A Digital Caretaker

The system also includes tools for inventorying network infrastructure. It automatically detects new devices on the network and can notify users about potential issues with them.

Anti-Hacker

The platform has also been integrated with several Russian cybersecurity products. In addition to collecting data from SIEM platforms and recording incidents for further processing, specialists configured integration with a web-application protection system designed to prevent hacker attacks. It aggregates information about intrusion attempts and transfers the data to the incident management system. Some integrations were implemented for the first time, requiring developers to create special connectors and adapt software interfaces.

The system has also been granted access to a vulnerability database with automatic updates. Operators can now view all information in a single interface and receive recommendations and action plans for eliminating threats.

“The government of the Republic of Tatarstan demonstrates a high level of responsibility and strategic vision in the field of information security. We are confident that the Security Vision platform will become a reliable foundation for protecting the region’s critical digital assets and ensuring the resilience of government services amid growing cyber threats,” said Ekaterina Cherun, Commercial Director of Security Vision.

Government and Business

The cybersecurity automation system was implemented by Innostage. The company acted as a strategic partner of the platform developer and participated in configuring the infrastructure.

“This project is a vivid example of how government institutions and technology companies can effectively cooperate to improve the cybersecurity of the entire ecosystem. We are pleased to contribute to such an important initiative and will continue supporting the development of a secure digital environment in the Republic of Tatarstan,” said Dinar Mulyukov, Head of Public Sector Relations at Innostage.
