Russian Developer Unveils New Line of Hardware–Software Systems
Astra Group has introduced five new machines and digital platforms—servers and computing modules built on domestic Baikal‑S processors—as Russia accelerates efforts to expand its homegrown tech ecosystem.

Russian developer Astra Group showcased a new lineup of innovative devices. The Astra XPlatform series includes a high‑performance database machine, a backup and archival storage complex, a platform for building corporate virtual clouds, a hardware load balancer, and a hybrid platform designed for creating custom generative models and artificial intelligence systems.
All systems are built on Astra Group’s unified technology stack. With these Russian‑made tools, companies can tackle a wide range of tasks—from centralized backup to developing in‑house AI solutions. All components integrate seamlessly with each other, as well as with other domestic technologies such as Baikal‑S processors.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak emphasized during the presentation that Russia’s technologies are advancing thanks to coordinated work among software developers, microelectronics manufacturers, and hardware platform engineers. He stressed that the strategic direction for Russian industry is “the creation of national sector‑specific platforms based on open‑architecture principles.”
Rising Demand for Russian Technology
According to Astra Group’s press service, the market for hardware–software systems will reach 100 billion rubles (approximately $1.07 billion) in 2026. Demand for Russian‑made equipment continues to grow.
