Russian Neural Network Learns to Summarize Documents and Videos
An updated version of Yandex’s Alice AI can instantly analyze large documents, images, and videos, then deliver concise answers to user queries.
Yandex has added a new capability to its Alice AI neural network. The system can now quickly analyze images, videos, photos, and documents directly in the browser and provide a short, focused response. For example, it can extract an ingredient list from a video recipe or generate a concise summary of a financial report on request.
The update was announced by Yandex’s press service. Alice responds to voice queries directly in the browser, without requiring users to switch between tabs — a single click on the neural network icon is enough.

The format of Alice’s responses can vary. It may generate a brief outline or a reference-style summary. Users can also ask questions about documents, including those in online or PDF formats.
