At the forum “AI Revolution in the Auto Business – 2025,” Alexey Kostenyuk, head of the Digital Transport division at SberMobile, introduced the concept of digital twins for taxi fleets.
These regularly updated virtual replicas of vehicle fleets help analyze even small data volumes—from simple mileage tracking and driver counts to downtime monitoring and driving-style assessment.
Over time, the system will be able to offer entrepreneurs tailored recommendations: whether it is time to expand the fleet, what expenses are required to open a branch in a new district, and how a new business idea might influence revenue and costs.
A Double Advantage for Business
A digital twin collects information from multiple sources, incorporates historical data, and learns from it. It can simulate business processes and reproduce multiple development scenarios without exposing the company to real financial risks.
According to Kostenyuk, implementing digital twins and practicing competent data management reduces operational costs, minimizes taxi-fleet downtime, increases customer loyalty, and improves transportation safety.
