A Russian Smart Ring Aims to Protect Your Health
Russia’s first AI-powered smart ring is hitting the market, promising to help users monitor stress, sleep, and overall well-being without turning them into patients.

Sales of the first smart ring from SberDevices began on September 23. The gadget tracks heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen (SpO₂), and movement. Based on these inputs, it calculates composite health indicators such as sleep quality, stress level, and activity.
The device is powered by Sber’s proprietary AI system, GigaChat, and integrated with the SberHealth service, which delivers personalized recommendations directly through a mobile app. One charge lasts up to seven days.
For example, if the ring detects stress levels approaching 30%, it may suggest taking an evening walk and going to bed before 11 p.m. The device doesn’t diagnose conditions but instead flags changes in the body and can recommend consulting a doctor.
The software and algorithms were co-developed with medical institutions, and the system draws on a theory originally created for space medicine to evaluate the body’s resources.
The launch comes at a time when Russians are increasingly turning to wearables: between January and September 2025, more than 5 million devices were sold across the country.
