Autonomous Forklifts Deployed at Auto Parts Warehouse in Russia
Robots are taking over routine tasks, reducing the burden of heavy manual labor on staff.

Nizhbel, a Russian auto parts distributor based in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, has integrated autonomous forklifts into its warehouse operations. The hardware-and-software system consists of fully self-driving warehouse vehicles that receive assignments through their own control platform and independently transport loads weighing up to two tons. The forklifts navigate using optical markers installed on the warehouse ceiling.
A Logistics System of Their Own
The project was implemented by the company Bespilotny pogruzchik using a methodology developed jointly with researchers at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Similar autonomous assistants have been deployed at the Amur Gas Chemical Complex, where robots move heavy loads and navigate warehouse space using laser detectors. The machines can adjust their trajectory and operate under the supervision of an operator. Each robot can function for up to 10 hours without recharging.
