Moscow Hosts Global Cybersecurity Camp to Train Next-Gen Defenders

Cybersecurity hopefuls from over 25 countries have arrived in Moscow for an intensive hands-on training camp, backed by Russia’s digital ministry and private sector.
A new international education initiative called Positive Hack Camp has launched in Moscow, aiming to prepare a new generation of cybersecurity professionals. The project is supported by Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development and the domestic tech company CyberEd.
This year, 765 applicants from more than 25 countries applied — double the number from 2024. After a competitive selection process, 90 early-career professionals with basic IT skills were accepted into the program.
Running through August 10, the program offers intensive, hands-on training in core areas of cybersecurity, from network scanning to web application vulnerability analysis. The curriculum also emphasizes professional ethics and modern methods for evaluating digital system security. Participants will learn to apply their skills to help safeguard organizations from cyber threats.
Beyond the classroom, the camp also introduces international attendees to Russian culture, with guided tours of major Moscow landmarks.
The organizers hope the program will foster global collaboration in the fight against hackers and cybercriminals, while also advancing knowledge-sharing to develop next-gen tools for countering digital threats.
