Nearly 90% of Tatarstan’s Industrial Enterprises Use Russian Software
The figure was announced by the republic’s head, Rustam Minnikhanov.

Nearly 90% of enterprises in Tatarstan use Russian software, according to the republic’s head, Rustam Minnikhanov, who made the announcement at a plenary session of the 2026 Kazan Digital Week international forum.
“Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are already widely used across the republic. A total of 658 digitalization projects are being implemented at industrial enterprises. Around 90% of enterprises use domestically developed software. More than 1,400 robots are deployed in industry,” the regional leader said.
Minnikhanov cited Tatneft, KAMAZ, and Setevaya Kompaniya as prominent examples of enterprises using Russian software in their operations. The current goal, however, is to move toward more comprehensive adoption of Russian solutions. This could improve management quality and the overall economic environment.
