The Rosatom Additive Technologies Center (an organization within the Rosatom state corporation) and the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen training in 3D printing technologies for Belarus's agricultural sector.

The partnership will include a range of initiatives, including hands-on student training at the Rosatom Additive Technologies Center in Minsk and the participation of the center's professionals in the university's research activities.

Experts say additive manufacturing can address many of the challenges involved in keeping agricultural machinery operational. Beyond enabling the rapid production of replacement parts and components, 3D printing also makes it possible to manufacture products with enhanced performance characteristics. Realizing those benefits, however, requires highly qualified professionals capable of operating and managing additive manufacturing systems.
