Rosatom’s EV Charging Stations Now Available in 15 Russian Regions
Russia’s state nuclear corporation is rapidly expanding its clean-energy charging network, making electric mobility more accessible beyond major cities.

Rosatom has been accelerating the rollout of its electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with Kursk Region becoming the fifteenth area to join the network. The first four stations there were installed in Zheleznogorsk, a northern industrial town. The project aims to improve the environment and encourage residents to purchase electric cars.
All charging stations run exclusively on clean energy generated by the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant. They are compatible with all modern connector types, enabling significantly faster charging.
Rosatom’s network now includes 227 charging stations. Developing electric transport remains a strategic priority for the corporation, which is leveraging the full scientific and technological potential of the nuclear industry, including expertise in producing components, batteries, and other parts for EVs.
