Russia Develops a Unique ‘Constructor’ for Testing Artificial Intelligence

Researchers at the Novosibirsk State University (NSU) Artificial Intelligence Center have unveiled a new AI framework designed to manage and test machine‑learning models. The modular system functions like a construction kit, enabling developers to build complex solutions by adding components to a stable core.
The framework debuted at the Golden Valley Forum and allows users to upload datasets, validate model performance, and assess readiness for real‑world deployment.
To demonstrate its practical use, the team tested the tool at the State Public Scientific and Technical Library. The system processed digitized catalog cards and annotations and evaluated a model built to recognize bibliographic structures. In the future, the framework will automate catalog creation and even extract data directly from book text.
The platform is versatile and applies to fields far beyond library science — including smart‑city systems. It helps developers evaluate models, detect errors, and choose optimal solutions for tasks such as heat‑network simulation or city‑service planning.
