Russia Launches Digital Navigator for Special Economic Zones
Russia has introduced a BRICS-wide digital map of special economic zones (SEZs), designed to boost international cooperation, attract investors, and simplify cross-border partnerships.

The new platform, presented as the “BRICS SEZ Digital Map,” consolidates comprehensive information on investment opportunities within special economic zones across all BRICS nations. Initiated by Russia, it represents the first concrete step toward building a unified economic space for the bloc, aimed at strengthening business ties among member countries. The rollout underscores Russia’s leadership in deploying advanced digital tools for global economic growth, lowering barriers to foreign investment and opening new channels for industrial collaboration.
Unveiled at the 3rd International Forum on Special Economic Zones in Nizhny Novgorod, the platform provides data on each zone’s specialization, incentives, residents, and contact information. This allows companies and investors to easily compare and identify the most advantageous conditions for doing business.
According to Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, the platform confirms the strength of the country’s SEZ model for international investors. In 2024 alone, revenue from foreign resident companies in Russian SEZs grew by 50%. Over the lifetime of the initiative, participating firms have received incentives worth more than 50 billion rubles (about 595 million USD).
