Russia Launches National Cybersecurity Week to Build a “Cyber Culture”
Leading tech companies and universities unite to raise digital awareness and counter modern cyberthreats.

Russia’s Cybersecurity Week begins on November 17, bringing together experts, businesses, and students to strengthen defenses against growing digital threats. The initiative, led by Solar Group with support from Security Vision, R-Vision, Gazinformservice, and Sber, marks the largest event in the program’s ten-year history.
Throughout the week, organizers will hold educational and business sessions focused on cyber risk prevention, data protection, and career development in information security.
Building a National Cyber Culture
A major part of the program is “Cyber Basics”, a nationwide lecture series taking place at more than 20 top universities. Students will also get a behind-the-scenes look at Solar JSOC, the company’s cyberattack response center, and explore job opportunities in the growing cybersecurity sector.
For entrepreneurs, organizers are launching “CyberStart”, a platform for cybersecurity startups. Another initiative, “CyberCulture”, will merge art and technology — digital artists using AI will create visual works promoting cyber hygiene. The Museum of Cryptography will host an all-night educational event called “CyberNight.”
The overarching goal of Cybersecurity Week is to build a nationwide cyber culture — not just spreading awareness, but helping people acquire practical digital safety skills. The project emphasizes that security in the digital age depends on shared responsibility between technology, education, and society.
