Russia Ranks Among Top 10 Countries in Digital Government Transformation

The national 'Digital Economy' project has built a powerful infrastructure, bringing high-speed internet to tens of thousands of public institutions and moving key services online.
Russia’s national project 'Digital Economy' has created a robust foundation for digitizing key government services and delivering high-speed internet to tens of thousands of social institutions, according to Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev in an interview with Expert magazine.
One of the most significant achievements has been the large-scale connection of public-sector organizations to high-speed internet. More than 40,000 schools, 26,000 rural medical outposts, and about 10,000 cultural institutions are now online. This has not only improved service quality but also given residents of even remote areas access to modern digital tools.
In 2022, Russia entered the World Bank’s top 10 for digital government performance.
The 'Digital Economy' project continues to expand, driving technological progress and improving citizens’ quality of life through digital solutions.
