Russia Tests First Compact Domestic UPS for Servers

Kaluga-based manufacturer Kalugapribor has successfully tested the country’s first homegrown compact uninterruptible power supply for servers. Mass production is set to begin this year.
Kalugapribor has completed trials of its compact uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed for servers. The device features a modular design and has demonstrated reliability, top-tier global energy efficiency standards, and a high power conversion rate of 89 percent.
The UPS is protected against overloads and short circuits. It provides administrators with real-time data on voltage, temperature, and other critical parameters. The system includes two parallel modules that share the load—if one fails, the other takes over to keep the server running.
At the core is the universal digital platform “Titan,” presented in several modifications with different power capacities. The factory has already tested 800W and 1200W units, with 1600W models next in line. Russia’s domestic market faces a sharp shortage of such devices, and Kalugapribor says it is ready to meet demand. Serial production will begin later this year.
