Russia to Showcase Its “Piranha” Drone and Other Breakthroughs in Minsk
At the upcoming Innoprom expo, Russia will present cutting-edge aviation and industrial technologies, from the Tu-214 jet to next-gen drones, underscoring its technological sovereignty and export ambitions.

At the international Innoprom exhibition in Minsk, running from September 29 to October 1, Russia will unveil a slate of its latest aerospace and industrial innovations. The lineup includes a model of the new Tu-214 passenger jet, the “Piranha-13” cargo and rescue drone, and other technologies aimed at signaling the country’s industrial independence and growing global reach.
Unmanned systems will take center stage. Among them are the Ulyanovsk-built Piranha-13, designed for cargo delivery and search-and-rescue missions, and the BAS S-80 Agro, the first certified agricultural drone in Russia. Another highlight is the Merlin-VR, an aerial monitoring system capable of operating for more than eight hours.
Organizers say the expo will also spotlight Russia’s deepening integration with Belarus, as Pervy Tekhnicheski points on. Joint projects include the modern 303T trolleybus built on a MAZ chassis with autonomous drive technology, as well as a mockup of a new Russia-Belarus investment cluster from Bashkortostan.
For Moscow, presenting these homegrown developments on the international stage carries strategic weight. It’s meant to show that Russia is capable of producing competitive industrial products and high-tech solutions for global markets.
