Russian and Indian Media Join Forces to Swap Content Across Digital Platforms
Russian and Indian media organizations are moving toward a deeper digital partnership, expanding content exchange and professional cooperation across broadcasting and online platforms

New Cross‑Border Content Flows
Gazprom-Media Holding, one of Russia’s largest media companies, has signed a cooperation agreement with India’s national public broadcaster Prasar Bharati.
The deal was concluded in New Delhi during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India and marks a significant expansion of media collaboration between the two countries.
Under the agreement, the organizations will exchange sports, educational, cultural, and public programming across television and radio.
They also plan to distribute co-produced materials on digital platforms and launch reciprocal training programs that allow teams to share expertise and best practices.
Creative and Technical Opportunities
Alexander Zharov, director of Gazprom-Media Holding, said the document establishes “a solid foundation for comprehensive strategic partnership.”
He emphasized that the companies aim to create a shared media space that gives audiences in both nations access to each other’s cultural and informational achievements.
According to Zharov, combining creative talent with advanced technologies will open new opportunities for both organizations.
Together, their potential cross-platform reach totals hundreds of millions of viewers and readers.
